It's an awful situation. The media is now saying he didn't act alone. The cops are tracking down a second suspect who may have helped.

What I don't understand is "why"? This is an American born man of Afghanistan parents. He's not a foreigner. But he is cold as ice. Then again, American born Irish have been known to help fund the IRA in Ireland. So, is that really too different? Kinda.

Oh yeah, and guns. Why can't we ban such high powered automatic guns already?

Im all for citizens rights to protect themselves with firearms. But you dont need assault rifles anywhere except in war.

the problem is humans are unstable and unpredictable. The easier access to gun, means a gun owner maybe sane at the time of purchase, then lose his marbles and go on a shooting rampage

Why doesn't Hilary or Trump say anything about the situation and gun control?  Or have they?  This is a very important issue.

I hate guns.  Most of the people I know who have guns have them because they make them feel macho.  One of my friends keeps his gun under his mattress yet does not lock any of his doors.  I found it one day while I was helping him clean his house. 

I don't know anyone with semi-automatic weapons.   Do you?
